I recently ran windows xp restore to get rid of some problems and created
even more problems. After running the restore process all of the users were
gone ? Now all of the information contained in the directories made private
can no longer be accessed by anyone not even administraitor. I re-created the
user accounts again but windows still thinks it is a different user and all I
get is access denied when trying to open a directory that was made private
before I ran windows xp restore.

What do I have to do to get access back to the original user accounts ?

Did you really use system restore, or did you do a repair installation? It
sounds like the latter.

See Help and Support and search for "take ownership"
