Please log in for more thread options
have new hdtv and cannot change old setting to new ones. seems to be nowhere
to save changes and they revert back to old ones?

Are you sure it's version 2002? In Media Center go to settings then about
and see what version it says it is.

I would install XP SP2 to start with, that'll get you to MCE 2005. Then
install all the updates from Windows Update to get to MCE 2005 RU2.

Sorry, this is incorrect. SP2 will NOT upgrade a 2004 install to 2005.
The only way to go from 2004 to 2005 is to get the upgrade from the computer
manufacturer, or purchase MCE 2005 and do a clean install yourself.

Installation of SP2 on an MCE 2002 machine will upgrade it to MCE 2004.
