There's plenty of confusion around that. Let's see if I can help out:

Q: What is SmartPhone? What's the difference between "smart phone" and
SmartPhone?

A: SmartPhone is a phone like device based on Windows Mobile for SmartPhone
OS. It usually has normal cell phone size and shape, has phone numeric
keyboard and does not have touch screen support. As to "smart phone", it's a
generic term for any mobile device with phone capabilities running any OS
which allows you to install and run native applications (Java applets are
not counted). For example, Treo 700w is a smart phone, but it's not
SmartPhone, it's a Pocket PC Phone Edition. Here's how SmartPhone looks
like: http://www.clubimate.com/t-DETAILS_SP5m.aspx

Q: What's the difference between feature phone and smart phone?

A: It's not well defined. Usually if device has phone capabilities and can
run native applications - it's a smart phone. If it can only run simple Java
applets - it's a feature phone.

Q: I bough Microsoft OS based smart phone. Is it SmartPhone or Pocket PC
Phone Edition?

A: If it has touch screen, it's Pocket PC Phone Edition. If it does not have
touch screen, it's SmartPhone. For example, XDA Mini S runs Windows Mobile
and has touch screen - thus its Pocket PC phone edition and needs software
for Pocket PC, not for SmartPhone.

Q: What's the difference between Pocket PC and Pocket PC Phone Edition? Can
I run Pocket PC software on Pocket PC Phone edition?

A: Pocket PC Phone Edition is Pocket PC with phone capabilities. It can run
Pocket PC software as it is Pocket PC with extra phone hardware and software
to handle phone part.

Q: My device runs Windows Mobile 2003 or above. Which CPU it's using?

A: All modern Windows Mobile devices are using ARM compatible CPUs. It might
be from Intel, it might be from Samsung, it might be OMAP from TI - that
does not matter, it's always ARM.
