I have ActiveSync 4.1, Windows Media Player 10 on Windows Server 2003
I am synchronizing with device with Windows Mobile 5.0

I can synchronize everything except that WMP10 cannot detect device.

...before you ask:
I can synchronize the same device with PC with XP installed.
I did reinstall/repair ActiveSync a number of times.
I don't have firewall/antivirus programs installed.

Is there any incompatibalities with ActiveSync 4.1 and WMP10 from Windows
Server 2003?

Please HELP!

Thanks
Ivan Andonov

There have been a number of wmp10/wm5 media sync postings with no good
resolution that I have seen to date.

Personally, I dealt with this by syncing media content to the ppc's
memory card reader in a card reader on the pc... much cleaner, faster
and more controlable.

Yes but this way you loose the automatic convertion of bitrates of music,
video and size reduction of picture files.
And also you should monitor wich files are new/updated and with big cards
and media libraries it becomes nightmare.

Anyway thanks.

Hi,
Did you try reinstalling ActiveSync 4.1? ActiveSync 4.1 includes a hot fix
for WMP10 and Windows Mobile 5.0.

Yes I did with no success.
Probably the version of WMP10 in Server 2003 is different than the one in XP.
