 when i shut down my computer windows will only restart in safe mode and will
not start up again any sugestions ?

 Have you tried Last Known Good Configuration?You can also try a System
Restore in Safe mode.Choose any restore point when everything was fine.

Please log in for more thread options
Check your boot.ini
Start > Run > msconfig > OK > boot.ini tab
Make sure the /safeboot switch is not checked
