 The newer version of windows mobile on my new Motorola "Q" phone has no
options for editing, taking notes, or using dates for the "Task" function.
Has anyone had a similar problem with windows mobile with any other phone,
or is it something I'm not doing properly? On the earlier versions the
"Task" function gave me these options

 As mentioned in a previous post there are a number of third party
applications that will fill the gap where the Q is considered short for the
users. From what I've seen with my supervisor's Q and postings to the NG's
the Q is not intended to be a replacement for a PPC device and it is a
scaled down converged device. If you have to buy all of the additional
software to make it PPC compatible ... then it doesn't seem like the $100
savings is worth it.

I downloaded a beta of (1) Textmaker - for Word
http://www.softmaker.com/english/tmp06_en.htm and purchased (2) Ptab
Spreadsheet http://www.z4soft.com/ for my boss but I don't think he has
installed them yet. I have the Treo 700W so I have no use for these two
applications.

I have the same problem - can display the details, and allows dialing of
embedded phone numbers. But no (obvious) way to edit them.

Feature or ???

BTW - I'm finding the limitations of the package becoming increasingly
negative. Have 8 more days before I can return my.

Oxios tasks is an enhanced version of tasks that will sync with outlook
tasks. Smartphone notes will allow you make notes that sync with outlook
notes (stickies)
