I just purchased a Audiovox SMT5600 with Cingular Service. It is running
WIndows Mobile 2003 Second Edition.

I have XP Home Service Pack 2 with WMP10 installed.

I am able to synch my Outlook contacts/calendar/memos via the Active Synch
software.

I am UNABLE to synch music/playlists for WMP10.

When I connect the device via the USB cable, the "setup synch" option on the
WMP10 is not available for clicking it is grayed out.

How do I configure WMP10 to do auto-synch with SMT5600????

I called Cingular and they sent me to Audiovox. I called audiovox (or
really ITstarcom) and they sent me to microsoft. I called microsoft and
they told me to go away unless I paid $35 for the priviledge of asking them
for support on something I just purchased.

thx,

Todd (via my wifes email -> setting up phone for her!)

Hello,

> anybody have any idea how to create or transfer playlists?

I had this problem, too. And as WMP 10 in not available for my
desktop (win2000), I needed a different solution. I use another
media player on my smartphone:

The Core Pocket Media Player (TCPMP)
http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/

And as a .m3u playlist can be just a text file containing the
filenames of the media, I can play my media with my playlists.
Or use Winamp to create.

By the way, my "T-Mobile SDA music" (Windows Smartphone 2003) has
special buttons for WMP use, I still found no way to use them with
TCPMP. Any suggestions?

Regards,
Thorsten
