You must be running MCE 2005 or Vista to use an XBox 360 as a Media Center
Extender. The Extender technology wasn't available until MCE 2005.

Check to see what version of MEdia Center you have, and most notably, check
the proper place.
If you are looking in the System Properties control panel, then it could be
giving you an incorrect version.

To check the version of Media Center that you have on your pc, follow these
instructions

How to determine the version of Media Center that you are running

I have the extender program running on my PC which is running 2002. It seems
to be working though it always tells me my system resources are low. How do
I get it off my system? It was my roommates 360 and I no longer live with
them
