Dear Sirs,

there seems to plenty of formatters that eat some wiki-syntax and produce
html, like http://sourceforge.net/projects/wiki2xhtml/ but common thing
with all programs I've that far came across is that they're all written
in either java or python -> is there anything for the same purpose that
would have been written in C?

Hello,

did you check this http://tools.wikimedia.de/~merphant/wiki2html/ ?
It's written in C

oh, thanks.

looks exactly like the thing I was looking for ; original plan was to
have the formatting inside tcl and at first I could not find anything
wiki-related done in tcl (as I did not know that whole http://wiki.tcl.tk
is actually written in tcl) I was thinking about creating a tcl-extension
from a c-code to handle the formatting.

finally resorted doing the formatting in tcl myself, ended up having 81
lines of tcl and that is not handling indentations or image-links yet.
gives me more control tough regarding how to constructs wiki-internal
links and such. number of bugs is most likely something like 2*81=162.

so now I have multitude of options to choose from :-)
