I have one problem, and one issue. Anyone with suggestions or solutions or
comments would be appreciated

problem. When I'm on site of my SBS server, in order to sync, I have the
server.domain.local set as the name of my server to connect to on sync.

when I go off site, I must enter the http://domain.com address..
there is something missing, is there no way I can set it to work from
either connection without changing the server name constantly?

Issue. when I'm local and sync, the option to sync with my local pc (as
well as my exchange sync) work perfectly.
when I'm out, I don't get an error message, but it only syncs to my
server/./exchange data store, meaing my tasks notes and file don't get
updated..
does anyone know why it doesn't even try to sync to the local PC for these
other items?

Hi,
Did you setup the DNS to support the FQDN name for internal and external
requests? This way you can set the host name to the FQDN and then use it
for either connection.

wow, it just got really cold in here from the speed of your post flying
over my head.

in research, (thank you) from your acronyms, it would appear one of the
things I could do
is set my website address 'myname.dyndnsname.com' in the hosts file of
the local dns machine
to point to the IP of my server....

that way, when I'm out, whatever provides my DNS will route through as
always
but when I'm local- it'll redirect to that server.

I'll work on it,, thank you..
