Re: Where to test page in various browsers?
Considering the amount of resources and coding it would take to set up
such a service, you get slow services at best. Daniel Vine has set up
two nice services to test your page in Safari (Mac) and IE7:
There's also BrowserCam, but that costs a little bit. Then again, it
covers Linux (Firefox, Konqueror, Mozilla, Opera), Mac (Camino, IE,
Firefox, Mozilla, Safari) and Windows (AOL, IE, Firefox, Mozilla,
Netscape, Opera; and on Windows 98/2000/XP/Vista) in several window
sizes and other capture options.
Other than that, I recommend having several browsers installed on your
system just for this purpose.
Personally, I use Opera on a daily basis (I design first for Opera as
well as conformity, then adjust for others), and I have IE and Firefox
installed on my computer to test. Additionally, I use the iCapture tool
to see my design in Safari. That solution is 100% free, too.
