Webtrends referral configuration

I'm having some problems configuring my company's webtrends.

1. My company's own domain (eg. abc.com) and "Direct Traffic" always
shows in top referring sites. So, I always see 2 top referring sites,
one from my company's domain, and one as "Direct Traffic". Why does
this happen? Isn't my company's own domain the same as "Direct

2. My company's domain name always appears in top referring sites. I
think this is caused by "IP switching" due to the ISP  load balanced
the IPs. Is there a way to filter this?

3. How do I configure the campaign tracking? Do I need to do something
with the tagging or the cookie? Or, can I just use a parameter such as:
product.asp?campaign=11234 ?

Have been trying to look for the above info from everywhere without
success. If someone knows the answer, can you please share with me...
Thanks in advance...

As if the love poetry wasn't enough, Yvonne just had to say:

No. Direct traffic is when someone has literally typed your website
address into the address bar, whereas "company's own domain" is when
someone has visited a page on your site following another link from the
same site.

It's because most of your visitors have followed a link from one page to
another. There is most likely a configuration option for your stats
analyser that will enable you to filter out results where the referrer
is your own site, but I will leave finding that option as an exercise in
reading the vendor's FAQ/Documentation ;)

If your stats package shows figures for pages with a "?" in the URL,
then the latter will likely be fine.
