I'd really appreciate your suggestions and tips for making my website
better.  I know it's rather ugly, I've never been very good with
asthetics, but I'm trying.  I've got a buddy who runs a graphics design
company who is making me a logo for the top (where that rotating
graphic is) which will have a large "KD-RSS" and some fancy little
designs around it.  Trying to make it look a little more professional.

It is just a hobby site / blog of mine, but I try to put as much useful
information and design in to it as I am capable.  I was running it
under (now gone) and got around to registering

So any suggestions you might have for my website: /
would be most appreciated and useful.

A little information about it, it's pretty much all php based, lots of
haphazard arrays and such.  Running on Apache.  I don't really know
anything about CSS or how to implement it, I know I use a CSS file for
the design, but I basically just plopped it in there and thought it
looked half decent :(

Thank you in advance,
Ken Dennis /

That's not really why designers use CSS, it's used to seperate content
from presentation, I am still learning some CSS stuff myself and so do
not know much about it eather.
But, if you just mark your page up with the basic HTML, then use some
CSS, Div's and the like to style your page, you could have something
that is quite functional.
But, CSS also is not very well supported in some browser environments.
So you need to use some work arounds too fix the issues that come up.
I would start by validating your code and go from there. I think your
site is ok but you may want too place some more White Space between the
main navigation links. Might make it easyer to navigate.

This Page Is Tentatively Valid HTML 4.01 Transitional

No Character Encoding Found! Using utf-8 ... I have the type setup in

Adding something along the lines of:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

inside the <head> may solve that one.
