My name is James W. "Jake" Leggett and I am a Ph.D. Candidate at
Northcentral University. As partial fulfillment of the requirements
for this degree I am required to conduct a research study as part of
my doctoral dissertation. I have decided to investigate how users
perceive their experiences with different website navigation systems.
I will accomplish this research using an online survey. This survey is
directed at website users, developers, and designers. After completing
this survey, you can elect to receive more information about this
study once it is completed. This survey will take approximately 10

Though in fairness, from the baivety of your post I doubt if you
really are who and what you say you are. For if you were, you would
know that an online survey of this nature is so prone to noise as to
be worthless.

Or don't they teach you research techniques at your university?

You've got that right, Matt.  The first rule of putting together a
survey is to qualify your audience.  Otherwise the results are worthless.
