I'm trying to install IIS on my machine, but having problems. I'm running
WIN XP pro SP2. The installation starts but then it gets to some files
"staxmem.dll for example". the installation halts and asks to point to the
file, the files are on my hard drive in a folder c:\i386 (i dont have the
win xp pro disks (they didnt come with the machine)) but the installer wont
recognise them.

Is there somewhere I can download IIS or is my sp2 installation corroupt?

Cheers guys

IIS is not available for free download.

I'd suggest you discuss this with the manufacturer of your computer.  Or buy a
new copy of XP Pro.

Re: trouble installing IIS

If you already have SP2 installed on your machine, you may need to point the
installer to the relevant SP2 files, rather than the orginal XP files
(because SP2 updated them)

You will probably need to obtain the full version of SP2 (either download
the network version), or get it on CD. If you download the full .exe
version, extract it using the -x switch. Point the installer to the \i386
directory that is created.
