testing every single version of every single browser is impractical.
Seeking a reasonable balance, I wonder if testing on one WebKit browser
is an adequate proxy for testing on all other browsers that use the same
version of WebKit.
I've spent a little time with browsershots.org trying to find substantial
differences in rendering between WebKit browsers. I haven't found any,
but absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
My suspicion is that while the rendering engine might be the same,
browser-specific implementations might change things. But these are just
speculations I'm pulling out of my butt; I'm interested in facts, which
is what I don't have. Data, anyone?
