I have purchased an SSL Cert from Verisign for my website.
Unfortunately, I have registered the site name as just

When i browse to the site as without the www, it tells me
that the site has an SSL cert., but that there is a name mismatch.

Can someone shed some light on this for me?
Do I have to buy multiple certs, one for and another for
Can I do anything about this now ( change the cert to relfect both dns
conventions) or do I need to buy another cert?

A certificate is for one domain only normally, and is a  
different domain then You _could_ buy a wildcard certificate,  
but that's terribly expensive compared with just 2 normal certificates.  
I'd enforce one domain: user entering on are just redirected  
to, problem solved.
