I am on Windows 2003/IIS 6.0 and I have registered example.net which is what
I want to use as the primary address in marketing but I've also registered
also example.com as "brand protection". What's the best way to redirect the
.com to the .net?
At the moment I am managing this through multiple Host Headers in IIS -
example.com, www.example.com, example.net, www.example.net - all pointing to
the same virtual directory though showing the url in the address bar exactly
I'm actually quite happy with this way of handling it but I seem to recall
somebody saying that search engines don't like multiple Host Headers and may
penalise me for it. That seems strange to me but I realise that search
engines are a law unto themselves, especially when it comes to handling MS
So, is it true and if it is, what is the best way to handle it?
