Hi, I webmaster a few sites and noticed that sometimes when people email me
the information they are reffering to is way outdated, like a few months or
Im not 100% sure but i think it may have something to do with these
particualr peoples ISP cache, is there anything in regards to preventing teh
site from being cached by an ISP liek AOL I can code into the HTML..
Ive also thought that maybe the problem may come from using frontpage
includes (lol, the sites were my pre-php coding days), Is it possibly
frontpage (or its extensions on server) not updating the pages.. But then of
course I dont see why I can see the updates fine from my PC and others can
also see the updates, while it seems as if a select few (maybe alot more
than i think) dont see them..
Either way this issue has really been bugging me, and the info i did read on
using meta tags for setting no-cache attributes, seemed like they were
potentially useless, but of course at this point I am willing to try
anything to fix such a huge issue.
Re: Site Not Updating for some! ISP Caching Problems? Frontpage Includes?
need to adjust the cache settings in their browsers.
But I could be wrong.
