- sharing an SSL domain

rate this thread
rethinking some approaches.
This is pretty straightforward if everyone has their own SSL cert,
but if you are sharing an SSL cert that is good for one domain only,
there's some hoops you have to jump through as far as moving all the
images and stylesheets over to the secure domain, and that means you
have to rewrite the template for the secure paths and maintain the same
stuff in two different places.
Now, I wonder if there isn't an easier/better way. Perhaps with
either .htaccess or tinkering with the httpd.conf. I can do whatever I
wish with the server.
Re: sharing an SSL domain
I am just guessing here but would a "Multiple Domains Certificate (UCC)"
do what you are needing?
http://www.websitespot.com/ssl-secure-certificates.htm has one that
sounds to me would work. I do not have any sites with an SSL
certification so I may be totally off-base (not for the first time).
