I am currently enrolled in Art Intstitutes Web Design Diploma Program.
I have had experience in web design, but am looking to gain the skills
needed to get a real job doing this. So far I have learned new things,
such as UI and some CSS, but I don't feel I'm marketable at all.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get the job? I'm afraid I'm
spending all of this money for entry level skills that I already had.

of a year and it does cover all of that... and then a lot more (video,
animation, print design...)

You might want to start with designing your own website. You know

Scan the "help wanted" ads for web designers and see what they are
looking for so that you can acquaint yourself with them. You never
know where your first customer will come from. My first web design
client was a neighbor of mine who saw one of my web pages and liked it
so much that he hired me on the spot to do a family website for him.
