I should like sensible, mature, critiques for the following two web
sites, which are NOT of my doing.

I'd like to restress, that NEITHER site is ANYTHING to do with me, and
while I have my own opinions, I should welcome others.

No one liners, please. I am looking for critiques.

The sites are:

Thank you

It's hard to provide much of a critique when the pages don't work.

These are two extremes: the first is far to wide for my browser
window, even at 1200px wide; the second is another 800px-only site,
with (presumably) fixed px widths and heights that cause
   overprinting. <

Sorry for the one liners, didn't bother with the technical bits for
verifying... others will no doubt do that.
Of the two tefc was the best.

grey on black is always troublesome.

wasn't obvious (to me) what the site was about till I saw the "Tesco sport
for schools" logo - this is about a schoolboys football team?

This one is easier to read, but the raison d'etre is equally obscure.

Both sites are 'built' - thrown together is a better expression - with a
horrible medley of messed up markup.  Good luck to the maintainers of
these sites - they have their work cut out.  But then, if they charge by
the hour they're onto a good thing I think.

For reference: neither site validates, so I'm not about to start
addressing individual issues till they do.

The bold text "ALL 2005/06 USERS WILL NEED TO REREGISTER due to the changes
in team line ups", hurts my eyes. It is not easy to read.
