QC: What Happened to Mambo?

Toying with the latest release. Aside from the fact that it is slow
as sebmra fuvg, the latest patch has a typo that breaks at
line 47 of index.php.

If anyone out there is struggling:
        $return = addslashes( $return );
        $result = addslashes( $result );

4.6 was released in mid-September with a SQL injection vulnerability
which is remarkable enough. 4.6.1 was released on October 5 yet the
typo (which is fixed in SVN) remains in the patch.

Very disappointing. Mambo used to be one of the tightest FOSS
packages around.

Have you tried Joomla? As I understand it, there was a falling-out at
Mambo, and the brains left to create Joomla.
