How can I prevent googlebot (and others) from trawling links which
merely change page colours and image size? To get or force 'bots to
distinguish between style & content? :)
99% of pages on my site have ten of these links, looking something like
...?style=dark&scale=0.5. The links allow increments/decrements of
scale by 0.25 but there's no stopping people from say scale=0.512344.
So there's a minimum of 24 pages for every actual page.
Any problems in serving up pages for googlebot (or search bots in
general) which ommit the style & scale change links? Or is there a
better way you can suggest?
I added rel="alternate" inside the <a href=...</a> stuff but it's
BTW: Each style has a seperate CSS file, but the php script changes the
<style type="text/css"> to point to the correct one.
