I have 7 pages calling 7 php pages in the root of my site all in the same
directory, this worked well but since I was obliged to put CHMOD 705 all
upload again,(my site was hacked) when I click on a button "submit" I have
Error 404 it don't find the page .php(they are the same before the changes)
The phps pages are only reading mail input by user and send it to me.
I have tried to find explanations but I don't see what I'm doing wrong.
If you can help me this will be fine.
I thank you very much for any idea
Re: php pages always denied
You shouldn't have the execute bit set on PHP scripts - they are not
executable files (at least not unless you're executing them from the CLI
and using a shebang at the start). But the web server should still be
able to read the files. However, I don't know which distro you're using
- for instance, SELinux has some extra security (which I'm not familiar
with - never having run it).
The normal bits for web files are 644 or (if the web server is in the
same group) 640.
