I am trying to redirect a page to another page. I was trying to use
the .htaccess method, like this:
Redirect 301 /oldpage.html http://www.example.com/newpage.html
My only problem is that in the old page, I would like to specify the
domain name but it does not work. The reason I want to specify the
domain name is that we have two different domains for the same website
and they both point to the same root folder. So one appears when
browsing the French files (same as the English files but with _f at
the end) and the other appear when browsing the English files.
So, the English index file is index.php and the French index file is
index_f.php and they are both the the same root folder.
So, in other words, I want to redirect http://www.frenchdomain.com/index.php
to http://www.frenchdomain.com/index_f.php but I do not want to
redirect http://www.englishdomain.com/index.php to
Or, in other words again, I only want to redirect the index.php page
when the French domain appears in the location bar. So when
http://www.frenchdomain.com/index.php appears in the location bar, I
want it to redirect to index_f.php. When http://www.englishdomain.com/index.php
appears in the location bar, I want it to stay there.
Does anyone know how I can do this? This is a bit hard to explain, I
hope it was clear.
If you have any ideas, please let me know.. doesn't have to be with an
