I use AVG and each time my daily automatic scanning starts it shows these
three things as 'Change'
Why would it do this for Kernel32.dll, Shell32.dll and Hosts?
I have not noticed anything odd going on with my computer but I am
curious... IIRC in scans past it wasn't like that. It has been like this now
though the last several days.
Re: OT: Kernel32, Shell32, and hosts change?
The changes to those dll's are just the result of an update. It's nothing
to worry about. If memory serves, there's a setting to ignore such
changes. As for your hosts file, either you changed it, an anti-spyware
program changed it, or some malicious script changed it. You're using
Spybot or AdAware, I'd guess. :-)
You can always look in your hosts file for anything that looks fishy.
