Hi. I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question, but I can't seem
to figure out the answer.  Here is the question:

I have a website:

I registered the domain name with Godaddy.  I have the site hosted
somewhere else.  On godaddy, I can have 2 ways to have the people go to
the site when they enter  The 2 options are:

1.  Name Server information (i.e. )
2.  Forwarding (i.e. )

My question is this:  Is there a benefit and/or detriment to using one
of the above options over another??  ANY info is MUCH appreciated.

Be careful what they mean by 'forwarding' - if you are taking about
modifying the DNS records to point directly to the IP address of your
website, that's fine, but if they mean forwarding to a URL (also sometimes
called 'cloaking') this means your website is presented within a frame which
can cause all sorts of problems.
