- more Unique visitors than visits in Awstats

This is my understanding:
Unique Visitors (or Sites) - These are the total number of visits by a
unique IP address.
Number of Visits – The number of visits are the total number of visits
by all visitors over a given period of time.
If I visit your site and then come back 4 more times you should see one
Unique visit and 5 visits from me. So it is normal for the Visits to
exceed the Unique Visitors. But if the Unique visitors are more than the
Visits, how how did that happen ?
Re: more Unique visitors than visits in Awstats
ISTRC that AOL will often use a different IP for each web request - e.g. a
page with 10 images is 11 web requests - one for the page and one for each
image. If your web stats are counting a visit as a session and a unique
visit as a changed IP, you'll have one visit and 11 unique visits.
