I am working on a site that will sell dust jackets for books to replace
one for the buyer's collection or to boost resale value. I also want to
display a link to buy the book as well. This would be done through
Amazon Web Services. The dust jacket is inventory that I have on hand.
The other is obviously something I don't. So far, I only have one of
each dust jacket, so I need an inventory tracking system to prevent
people buying something I don't actually have for sale. (I hear this is
a no-no.) I need a minimalistic online store solution that will track
inventory like what I need, but still allow me the freedom to edit the
front end display in the way I want to.
I have looked at ZenCart/osCommerce, but I haven't been able to make
heads or tails out of how to edit them to enable what I want to do. If
anyone has any ideas of how to get this done in one of the more robust
storefront programs or a reference to a solution like what I described,
I would greatly appreciate it.
