I have commercial project that requires fairly large user database.
Database is, in essence, quite simple, consisting of not more than few
tables with dozen columns. It would be scaled up to 1.000.000 users.
It is a members database for a certain type of service, that has time
validity. In essence, what would be required is that certain group of
users add a member, and that administrator verifies that entry and a one
year membership starts to last.
There is also a need for levels of access, so members could be added to
groups belonging 3rd party salesman that would add them in the database

Re: Members database management software
If you're looking for a custom solution, I have experience with many
times more that amount ;-).
If the current database can be used depends a lot on how well it's
designed. My experience is that not everybody is good at that.
I highly doubt it. You might be able to butcher it out of another
project, but I have little doubt that such an action will take up a lot
of time and will have a lot of unexpected surprises. Similar to turning
a car into a bicycle ;-)
