My site is payatasbaptistchurch.org If you Google "payatas" (no quotes) Payatas
Baptist Church.org comes up in the 1st or second page. (It varies daily)
If you click the link, my site does not come up but another site does.
I looked at the "view page source" and it shows this malicious code:<script
I went into my server and deleted the index.asp info and then went back to my
page and it was blank (as expected)
I did the view page source and there was only one item, the malicious code =
<script src="http://cancher.iamsanver.com/a/cancher.js "
I then added index.asp in my server and noticed when I did that there was a 1
inside a square box. Nothing else. I replaced the code for the page and the
malicious code was still there.
I had seen where my coding started on line 3 and the bad code was on line 1. I
thought I could force it out so I moved my code to begin at line one. When I
looked at the source code for my site the malicious code was on line 1 and the
rest started at line 2.
I do not know how to get rid of it. My thought is somewhere else there is a code
telling it to install itself in any index.asp file.
Can you help?
Re: malicious code
The first thing you need to do is find and close the hole that allowed
the hacker into your site. Only then can you safely fix your problem -
otherwise it will just reappear.
But no one here will be able to help you without access to your site to
see what's going on. If you are unable to fix it yourself, then you
need to hire someone who can.
In fact, that may be a good idea anyway - if you had someone familiar
with security, you wouldn't have this problem in the first place.
