- Looking for invoicing software

I'm looking for an invoicing program with some pretty specific
requirements which my searches have been unable to find. I've been
using a very old version of Peachtree and tried a trial upgrade to
their current version. I do a little web hosting (mostly as a hobby
and to supplement my other services) so I need to send out monthly and
annual recurring invoices by email, and standard printed invoices via
USPS for other services I perform.
The new Peachtree version allows the recurring and email invoices, but
you have to set up the email/printed invoice flag at the customer
level. I need that option at the invoice level. Basically all of my
recurring invoices will be emailed, the rest will be snail mailed. So
it's possible a customer would receive both emailed and printed
invoices, depending on the services provided to them. Peachtree is
also a full blown accounting package, which I don't really need. The
old Peachtree was, too, but I just never used those other functions. I
just need to create and track invoices and post receipts against same.
I'd like to have software that installs on my machine, not scripts to
install on a server or some service provided by a third party. I also
sometimes put rather lengthy notes in the item descriptions of printed
invoices so I (and the customer) have something to refer back to in
case a similar situation arises in the future. And if the recurring
invoice item descriptions could dynamically include the service period
(for example, "Web hosting - 07/01/2010 - 07/31/2010"), that would be
ideal, but not an absolute requirement
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
