Re: Is there a Navigation Mechanism Similar to The Frontpage Scheme but more Generic
I try to describe what I do back up in your original Frontpage thread.
If you do some google searches on various menu types, you'll find css
techniques and in some instances I think I've seen menu creation apps,
some online and free and some not.
I went through this a while back. Way back when I used FT themes and
navigation (won't touch with a barge pole now), used image buttons for a
bit (two images per link, for that mouseover effect), then ditched that.
they're generally not accessible to folks with disabilities (a
requirement on my work sites).
I searched around for good dropdown navigation using css, found
suckerfish and some others but really wasn't getting what I wanted.
My current stop on this journey is the menuing system I describe in
painful detail in my other post (so I won't repeat). No idea whether
what I'm doing is acceptable to those with more experience than I,
imagine I'll find that out shortly :)
Lesse. I was where you are now, oh, in 2000? Enjoy the journey!
