I have pages that both run php and use a perl script for a counter at the
bottom. I'm using the .htm extension on all the files, so in my .htaccess file
I have the following.
AddType text/html .htm .php
AddType text/x-server-parsed-html .htm
AddHandler cgi-script .pl
ErrorDocument 404 /notfound.htm
AddHandler x-mapp-php4 .php .htm
WithOUT the last line the perl counter scripts work fine. Adding the last line
makes the php work fine, but the counters stop working. The server apparantly
stops parsing the page for the SSIs.
Re: htaccess Problem w/ PHP
".htm" files can't be both server-parsed *and* PHP. You'll have to choose
one or the other.
Either rewrite your Perl counter in PHP, or call the Perl code from PHP:
