Is there anyway to give someone access to a single html file (i.e..
Where they can edit a paragraph (storyline)

What options do I have in this situation?

Thanks again,

You could just give public write permission on a file, but I don't think =

it's a good idea for the index.html file. Perhaps you can set up a =
on the server for downloads and uploads, and have your index.html =
the storyline from that location. But there are security risks anytime =
allow someone access to your web space, or even a single file which may =
in HTML which could contain malicious code. If you totally trust the =
person, this might be OK, but even in that case you should use some sort =
password protection (and limits on file size, etc) for direct server =

I am faced with a similar idea, where authenticated users can enter=20
information in a form which is sent to a server side perl script which =
the content in a database and then creates HTML files from that =
But in this case there is still the possibility of unintentional HTML =
which could trash the website. So now I'm looking into a way to "purify" =
raw HTML. See my other post on malicious code for more details.

Another possibility, if it is only rarely to be edited, is to email
the person the index.html file, and have them email back to you when
it is edited.
