i need a site that has ssl and requires the user to have a valid client
certificate to connect, which is how things are presently set up. as i
understand things, any clients that want to connect to my server will need
to present a client certificate. how would i, as the client, go about
creating a certificate?
as i understand it, once the client's digital certificate has been given to
me (the IIS admin), i need to ensure their client certificate's CA is listed
on my server's trusted root CA store. do i also need to install their client
certificate on my server? if so, under which certificate store?
i've tried a few different things here, but whenever i try to visit my ssl
site, i'm prompted to select a digital certificate to present to the server,
but no options are available.
