You will see a very search engine friendly page. Not the same page as
the heavily graphics page humans see.
I don't understand this. I have told Google about his for 3 years! You
can check www.archive.org, and for the last 3 years or more and see
that fiberoptic .com has been doing this for a long time. These people
have used this sneaky trick extremely successfully. Why can they get
away with this? Google does not care. I've decided that I have to
easier if you use firefox with a web developer extension installed to
google, yahoo, msn and the rest!
If you look you'll see that fiberoptic.com have a google page rank of 0. The
whatever "fooling" is going on google clealy isn't being fooled.
Yes, and you to can have a page rank of 0.
Maybe but I spent almost $5k going to the (way overpriced) Search
Engine Strategies 2007 in San Jose a couple months ago and they all
were saying that the rage rank on the google's bar doesn't mean that
much anymore. It is not accurate. And you cannot deny the results
fiberoptic . com gets!!
fact.!!!!!! I have smaller sites I'll use this on. It will work. This
company rates very high for the type of business it's in. This is
specialized stuff. You don't need to rank high to do very well.
I have to comment on Search Engine Strategies 2007. They OVERCHARGE
tremendously. The week's classes cost me $3250. With travel expenses
it was almost $5k!!!! But, all of the info, and I mean all of it is
readily available in the current books on search engines and well-
known SEO websites.
Just go to the Search Engine Strategies website and find the names of
the people who spoke at conference and training classes. Go to their
sites. I'd rather pay a small fee each moth directly to those SEO
websites than pay those thieves who set up Search Engine Strategies
over $3k to get what in most instances is FREE, or considerably less
if obtained directly from the source.
Search Engine Strategies 2007 claimed to have had about 5000 people.
Assuming they all paid for only half the classes. That means these
assholes brough in at least $7.5 million. THAT'S $7,500,000.00 MILLION
DOLLARS!! Way, way overpriced!!
Sounds like you either have money to burn (lucky you) or you wasted $5K.
It is true that pagerank isn't accurate. Its only updated periodically and
may be out of step with the ranking used internally by google. That doesn't
mean that its not a useful guide.
Interestingly the pagerank of www.fiberoptic.com has risen from 0 to 4,
presumably because it does seem to have a large number of back-links to it.
Nevertheless presenting different content and redirecting to a different
page may eventually get the site banned, note the word "may" and see
market with specialized stuff there shouldn't be the need for tricks. Not
sure that there is ever a need for such tricks.
Sounds like we're in the wrong job.
