As I mentioned here a few weeks ago, I have been watching a particular
lapsed .co.uk domain but have been beaten to it by one of those scavenging
bottom-feeders who watch for domains due to lapse that people are showing an
interest in - it's currently parked and on sale with Sedo, no price given
but on principle, I'm not prepared to pay one penny for it (it's a secondary
name for a business I'm involved in, useful but not essential).
The domain was registered on 12th October (14 days ago) and a Whois look up

no cost; I'm hoping that's the case here but two weeks seems a bit long for
Re: Domain Name - Registration status: Registration request being processed
Best answer is to phone Nominet - the number is on their site, they are
helpful and friendly.
However, I'd guess that names at Nominet will stay in that state until the
domain is paid for or the credit period expires - I believe that is one
month - but really you should check with Nominet.
