Some companies offer domain forwarding and masking for free with domain
registration (which is about $10 / year - much cheaper than web hosting).
I'm wondering if I'll be able to mask a URL like
my-isp.com/member/my-name/ with my-name.com ?
Do I understand correctly that domain forwarding happens on the HTTP level,
while domain masking on the DNS level? (If so, the above masking is
