I am a little disappointed in Earthlink. They had a technical problem
with the way their setup of MIVA was exporting Product Attribute
Templates. I was helping a friend, but the problem was not specific to
her account; and they wanted her mother's maiden name to bump the
problem up their trouble shooters.
That was yesterday. I logged on tonight to try to give them the MMN
(mother's maiden name), and I got this:
"Thank you for contacting Earthlink LiveChat. If you are receiving this
message we are experiencing temporary technical difficulties. Please
come back later, or if you prefer, tell us your problem in the box
below and we will respond via email. Email response times are generally
12 hours or less. Thank you.
NOTE: Please do not send any requests which pertain to your billing or
account specific information since email is not a secure channel. "
So I sent them a reminder about the problem in the little Text Windowy
thing that is supposed to substitute for email to their tech support.
Unfornately, it appears they do not have any sort of an auto responder,
which means I just have to guess that they got my support request, and
I got no Ticket # back from them.
O well. Guess you get what you pay for . . . except even GoDaddy sends
you a Ticket # and they are a heck of a lot cheaper than Earthlink.
