Hey guys :-)

I always hought hat that which Google shows in google search results
is the meta description tag.

It can't be :S
The website has a description according to Google:  (top hit reads
"Fractievoorzitter van de VVD in de gemeenteraad. Is iedere dag van de
partij met zijn weblog.")

going to the apge and reading the source, we see:
    <meta name="description" content="Elke dag van de partij" />
And a bit further down:
    <meta name="description" content="econoom, communicator, internet-
enthousiasteling" />

Searching for the word 'Fractievoorzitter' on this source page yields
no results. Weird.
This has been the case for 2 months at least now. I thought in 6 weeks
i shold change or so...

I would like to get rid of the current description. Anyone has any
ideas about this? All suggestions or hints are truely appreciated.

Google's cache of your page shows the new description and two
occurrences of Fractievoorzitter (bottom of the page).  Google's
description of your page will surely change before too much longer.
There should only be one meta description, that may be part of the problem.

Additionally, Google will also use the Title and H1 elements, especially
if there is confusion on the description content or if it is missing

Still, taking a meta tag's content that is not tere instead of either
ones that are there... Weird.
Do you know how long it takes for google to pick up a new description?
Is it possible to shorten hat timespan?
Thanks for replying (both of you)
