CSS nav in IE

I just got into this site this afternoon. I was given a design file that I
have to follow, they do not want to give up the fancy font in the main nav.
I did the rollover effect with images in the css. The nav is supposed to
line up with the red of the background image and it does in Firefox, Opera,
Safari and Netscape but not IE. It sits down about 3 pixels throwing the
everything off. Is there an IE hack I need or is there something out of
whack in my css.

Thanks for any help.
