Suppose, due to a ridiculous 48 hour outage at your provider, you move
your WHM master domain to another provider, and repoint DNS at the
registrar for that master domain. Hypothetically of course. ;-)
What I'm seeing is that if I try to get to
http://2ndDomainAtBrokenProvider.com/ it 302 redirects me to
http://mymasterdomain.com/suspended.page/ and of course, since
mymasterdomain.com has been moved to another provider for the moment,
this request 404's. At this provider when there are cpanel
problems, we typically get the suspended.page crap while they try to
Question: Am I relatively safe to assume that once the provider gets
the server back up and functional that
http://2ndDomainAtBrokenProvider.com/ will start wokring okay despite
http://mymasterdomain.com resolving to another provider?
Or will I experience problems once the provider comes back up?
TIA for any insights into WHM/CPanel's reliance on the master domain.
Re: cpanel/whm question, moving master domain to another host
it's a good question and the answer is to be found within the subject
header. c/p apps like to do everything for you - anything they don't do,
they don't understand.
