I am considering moving my current setup to a host.. I don't think my
needs require a full fledged dedicated server, but they are maxing out
my business class internet line :-)
Problem I am running into, is my software creates database, and 3rd
level domains on the fly (xxxx.mydomain.com), I have found a couple
that will allow me to do that on the fly, but most are using cpanel,
and I am running into the problem that I can't create databases on the
fly. I was wondering (since the same account info will be used over an
over, as far as user/pass for sql database) if there was a way for my
software, to pass the Cpanel URL Script through.. if that makes sense?
I do'nt have cpanel experience yet, but say for example, the url was
something that was concrete that I could maybe pass through my script,
that in turn could let me automate with an extra step. I am a hair
tired so if that did not make any sense just let me know, and I will
try to explain in more detail.
Re: cpanel "automation"
You might try a vps (vds). I use www.jvds.com - quite pleased with
them. (And no I don't work for them :-) ).
