I'm using CPanel/ WHM.
How do I set it up so that an account does NOT have a mail server?
Let's say I have a domain 'example.com'.
When CPanel creates the account, it also sets up 'mail.example.com',
but for some reason the customer doesn't want that. They have
'mail.example.com' already set up somewhere else and want to keep it
Re: cpanel assistance - how to NOT have a mail server?
local domains, remote domains, it's in there.
If the domain name is going to point to your stuff, i.e. nameservers, change
the dns record.
mx to the mail server they want and change the cname mail.domain record to
where it's going to.
Scripts run off the site will check local domains for mail sending to stay
on network by default.
