Can someone suggest a great way of reliably centering web pages that will
work in most browsers other than using negative margins? I'm hand coding and
would prefer to only use XHTML w/CSS for all styling. I'd prefer not to go
to a Java or other scripting solution.
Specifically, I'd like to wrap the content up into a div (lets say 720px
wide) and have a bulletproof method for keeping that div centered in the

HTML sees much better support than XHTML, and unless you are using some
feature available only in XHTML (odds are very much in favour of
"not"), then its not worth the hassle.
