I ordered a dedicated server from burst.net for $69. I received the
confirmation and server details on July 3rd.

I logged into the server, and there was no ftp, httpd, or mysqld
service installed.

Not only were these essential, standard, basic services missing, but
the yum configuration files also did not list them, so they could not
be installed using yum.

When I brought this to their attention, they demanded more money.

I requested my service be cancelled, only a few hours after being

The next day I submitted the cancellation form as per their
instructions by their customer support.

I was told over the phone that I may have to wait 30 days to get a
refund, which I felt was suspicious.

I sent numerous emails and left phone messages and did not get any

When I finally called and spoke to someone and asked for a refund, the
woman in the billing department said "what makes you feel you are
entitled to a refund?"

I would not recommend burst.net for service.

Wait a minute. That makes no sense. Install yum from rpms using scp.
Then install whatever the hell you want using yum.
