I have awstats on my site. Personally, I'm not a great user of stats. I
did use a hit counter at one point but then realised that hits did not
equal visitors and took it off.

The only things that I find useful are the page referrers and the
history (of pages visited, of pages not found).

Currently I'm using a Linux-based server based somewhere in Britain for
my web hosting.

If the lady wife permits then I might set up my own server at home to
host my own website. I probably won't host my own email though - too
many chances of power outages.
