Does anyone here use Atspace free webhosting (www.atspace.com)?
I'm having loads of problems with my site (URL below). I can access it
about 1/5th of the time, but not about 4/5ths of the time. I'd post a
problem to their support forum, except that my username/password (which
lets me ftp to my site) does not let me in to their forum! So who knows
*what* friggin' username or password I am meant to use there ...
I see some other posts in their forum from people who say their sites
aren't working properly. But the official responses seem to be, "You're
wrong, your site is working fine".
Well - MINE SURE ISN'T!
Any other atspace (non)users here? If so, perhaps we can get together
to decide how to get some help - prior to giving the f*** up, and just
moving to some other host ...
Re: ATSPACE hassles
free webspace many years ago and have never looked back since.
Ipower is much more reliable - can't say I have ever had any problems
with them - see my website below
Re: ATSPACE hassles
You need to use a different user account for the forums, it's seperate
from your account.
In other words, it's probly not anything to do with their servers.
Then you will need to sign-up to the forum and winge to them about it.
The story with Atspace is:
When I was a user with them back in 2005 they suffered several major
attacks, as a resault of this, there data center might have blocked
access to some IP's, which is why some people can't access your site, I
can't access anything Atspace Related since after the attacks, I would
say it's the data center, because the Atspace people could not seam to
do anything about it.
The data center (before the attacks) also blocked all IP's from China.
To prevent spam.
It's werth mentioning, that most of the admin's efforts go to the
payed service, Atspace is just a secondary service, so you would be
fine if you payed them some $$$, as it's on a different server.
I have been with CJB.CC for a while now, they are quite good.
